Sign language in everyday life and in the science - presentations of the Hungarian Science Festival

At the anniversary of sign language law (November 9) a highly successful series of performances and workshops took place in the Pedagogy Faculty of Eszterházy Károly University, co-organized by the Hungarian Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. The Association was established in Hungary in 1907 to secure social acceptance of people who are deaf or hard of hearing and to advocate for the establishment of education, employment and transportation conditions that promote independent living.
The purpose of the performance was to get together the scientific and the everyday side of the topic, as well as to provide forum end meeting possibilities for the deaf and hard of hearing communities. The performances were about from fiction in sign language, sign language, the Hungarian research results of the latest understanding of sign language through an interactive series of games spread of activities.
Because of the interest and success, the organizers plan to organize more events related to new sign language.
